Sneak Preview: Richardson speech. Or the original one anyway

marjorie says...

Well, big Bill is going to speak at the main event Thursday instead of tonight (we hope)--from the sound of it tonight's schedule was just going too long.

But if you can't wait, you can read his speech now. It's on the internet since it was released to the media before the change. It's quite good I think.

It does include this curious bit about Musharraf:

And Barack Obama saw the foolishness of embracing Pakistan's Musharraf. John McCain thought we should support the dictator and let him take care of the Pakistani terrorists. Musharraf is now gone and the terrorists are stronger than ever. John McCain was wrong. Barack Obama was right.

I guess Bill just decided to ignore speculation that Musharraf might end up in New Mexico. So, you know, he may be "gone" but it's very possible he's, you know, still "here." He's just not in Pakistan~!

As to the change of schedule, frankly, I think he's better suited for the crowd tomorrow night--Westerners, and the global warming guru, and all. Here's the line-up:

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Jr.
Rep. Ed Perlmutter
Rep. John Salazar
Rep. Diana DeGette
Rep. Mark Udall
DNC Chairman Governor Howard Dean
Virginia Governor Tim Kaine
Former Vice President Al Gore
U.S. Senator Richard Durbin (IL)

Obama!
