I don't understand the fuss over the new Far West Mesa high school name, Volcano Vista High. Wasn't everyone just complaining that local high schools "are sorely in need of zippy nicknames"?
Volcano Vista is fun and just sounds cool... much better than than the proposed "Northwest High." Ho-hum.
But forget "the Heat" as a mascot. I say bring on the "molten lava."
